Senior History Olympiad. Camps Bay High School is thrilled to announce its remarkable accomplishments in the recent South African Senior History Olympiad. The school’s History Department secured an impressive Third Place in the State School Division. It is a testament to its commitment to academic excellence. Camps Bay High School learners also showcased their exceptional skills and knowledge in the competition, earning top honours.
Leading the charge is Fergus Tayler, a Grade 11 learner, who distinguished himself with a coveted Gold Certificate, placing him within the Top 5% nationwide. Tayler’s remarkable achievement reflects not only his dedication but also the school’s commitment to nurturing bright minds.
Positioning among the Top 10% in the nation, are Matric learners Kosmo Gilmour and Sebastian Reynolds. They also clinched Silver Certificates.
Further contributing to the school’s success are Grade 11 learners Sebastian Reynolds, James Heather-Clarke, and Nathan Segall, each of whom earned Bronze Certificates for their outstanding achievements. These certificates also place them within the Top 15% nationally.
The achievements of these exceptional students were celebrated in an assembly held on 14 August 2023, recognising their hard work, determination, and passion for history. Camps Bay High School takes great pride in its learners’ accomplishments and the success of the Senior History Olympiad.
